The Robert Logan AwardIn memory of Robert Logan, Chairman of BAFM from 1994–1998, who while in office died in a climbing accident. He was particularly interested in promoting and encouraging young people in The Heritage Sector and it was with these ideals in mind that this award was set up. This Award (with £500 Prize Money) is open to candidates under 30 years old working in The Heritage Sector. Applicants should be engaged on a project that:
- made an outstanding contribution to your Museum or Institute
- improved the Museum experience
- attracted a wider audience

Travel Award Bursary
Thanks to the most generous support of an anonymous donor there was an award in 2016 and more awards of up to £2,000 in 2018 and 2020. These will be to fund museum volunteers or young professionals starting their careers in the museum world to spend time at particular venue(s) of their choice. Alternatively the travel could be in the form of a short duration internship or the chance to work alongside a respected specialist.
