Friends’ Trips 2023

Trips are open to all BAfM Friends and partners.

Venice Trip: Dan has arranged a trip to Venice, 30 January – 4 February 2023.

The Venice visit will concentrate on the history, architecture and art of Venice. Unlike such destinations as Florence, where much of its art is located in a single museum, most of Venice’s art is still in situ spread throughout the city and the islands of the Venetian lagoon in churches and guildhalls. We will have an opportunity to explore these and the magnificent buildings which house them. Besides the many fine mosaics, we will experience the works of Bellini, Carpaccio, Titian, Donatello, Canova, Lotto, Calder, Picasso, Giacometti, Mondrian and many more. We will be staying in the centre of Venice, next to the La Fenice opera house and will enjoy some of the city’s finest restaurants.

The dates of our visit are 30 January – 4 February.
