BAFM is pleased to announce the winners of the 2026 ‘NEWSLETTER OF THE YEAR AWARD’
As last year, the competition was of a very high standard and there were more entries, making the judges choice even more difficult. In the end, the joint winners were THE FRIENDS OF THE HATTON GALLERY, UNIVERSITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TIME and THE FRIENDS OF SOUTHAMPTON MUSEUM, ARCHIVES AND GALLERY.
The HATTON is famous for the ‘MERZBAU produced by KURT SWITTERS in the Lake District , a key piece of modernist sculpture whilst SOUTHAMPTON has an exceptional collection of Twentieth Century Art as well as the original cartoons of the BRIAR ROSE series of paintings by EDWARD BURNE-JONES . We congratulate both groups but would encourage the other groups to resubmit in 2027.
